In 2014, Cincinnati Christian University introduced a new logo. The CCU Crest displays components that forged the identity of Cincinnati Christian University.
The flowing water at the base of the crest represents the Ohio River, the transportation route which led to the founding of our city. It also symbolizes activity—specifically our faith-active educational approach that carries students toward their future.
The city skyline speaks of our relationship with the urban core. The hill hovering over the city shows the proximity of our campus to the city below. It’s this location that enables our students to access educational, social, and service opportunities that enhance our students’ development.
The pillared structure atop the hill is a representation of the columns of Presidents Hall. It denotes not only our position as a “city on a hill” but also the intellectual pursuit of our university; our faculty and students strive for scholastic excellence.
The inclusion of the year of the school’s founding reinforces our heritage as we approach our 100th anniversary.
